Over 60 students of Archbishop Porter Girls SHS hospitalised over food poisoning

Over 60 students of Archbishop Porter Girls’ Senior High School in Takoradi in the Western Region are currently undergoing treatment at the Holy Child Hospital for food poisoning.

GBC’s Radio Ghana gathered that the case began Thursday night when a cross section of students started complaining of stomach pains whiles some had diarrhea.

Medical Superintendent for Holy Child Hospital at Fijai, Sylvester Fameye who confirmed the case of food poisoning added that the situation has overwhelmed the facility and that some logistics are being mobilised to move into the school to attend to others.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Charlotte Aseidu- Musa has confirmed the food poisoning incident but again reiterated that the situation is under control.
