The government has inaugurated six Councils of Education, as part of its drive to transform teacher education and learning.
The Governing Councils among other duties, are to oversee the three-year transition process of affiliating Colleges of Education to various public universities for the award of degree.
Soon, the first degree will be the minimum requirement for teaching, at any level of education.
The Colleges include Enchi, St. Francis, Fosu, Ola, Akatsi and Bagabaga.
