The Bank of Ghana is expected to announce a new minimum capital requirement for institutions that want to enter the mobile money business by the end of this year.
Telecom companies and firms that are already in the sector will be given ample time to meet the new requirement.
New operators will however be required to meet the new minimum capital before acquiring a License to operate.
