The discharge of Secessionists group, the Homeland Study Group Foundation, by an Accra High Court following the State’s decision to discontinue the case has aroused debate over its implications.

Governance and Legal Expert, Dr. Eric Oduro Osae believes the State’s decision simply means it does not want to proceed with the charges any longer.

He said that the state might have done so to prefer other charges against the group.

Dr. Oduro Osae also cautioned the Secessionists to be careful not to continue their activities because it is unlawful.
