The Local Government Service says it has not issued any fresh recruitment adverts.
A statement from the Head of Public Affairs Unit, Joseph Ankamah, asked the public to disregard any social media or online portal advertisement that the Service is recruiting.
The Service says it is about to conclude a process it begun in February 2019 to engage 2,290 additional staff, but has not issued fresh recruitment adverts yet.
The Service says the public will be notified when the recruitment process takes off.
