A man, believed to be in his 30s, Elvis Akundaare, a resident of Atulbabisi in the Bolgatanga Municipality, has been found dead in a drain at Bukere, a suburb of Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
The Bolgatanga Municipality in less than two weeks has recorded two of such unfortunate incidents.
Residents alleged however, that the deceased and his accomplice stole a motor-tricycle at Soe, a suburb of Bolgatanga, hence his lynching.
They said when the late Akundaare was apprehended by the owners of the motor- tricycle, they tied his hands onto the Motor-Tricycle, and dragged him on the floor, while others subjected him to severe beatings. The deceased was later thrown into the drain.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Upper East Regional Hospital Morgue in Bolgatanga by the CID Department of the Ghana Police in the Region, pending autopsy.
