Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley has urged African countries to work together to bring about the much-needed development required on the Continent.
She said ”unity is key and must be reflected in policies, actions, and the political will to bring about the desired change”.
Speaking during the ongoing 30th Anniversary and Annual General Meeting of AFREXIM Bank in Accra, Madam Mia Mottley said although resources are scarce, one thing is certain, that ”pulling all others along in the walk to trade liberalization will bring positive results”.
She said systems such as PAPSS must be strengthened to go beyond the African and Caribbean regions.
While commending Rwanda for its collaboration to establish a pharmaceutical industry, she said ”there is the need for others to follow suit and expand the sector’s scope on the Continent”.
