Award-winning Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has called for a truly borderless and culturally integrated Africa, using his influence to push the ideals of unity and shared prosperity at the ongoing African Prosperity Dialogue at the Accra International Conference Centre.
More than a celebrity appearance, Stonebwoy’s presence at the dialogue underscored the growing role of African creatives in shaping the continent’s economic and social future. He emphasized that African unity must go beyond political agreements and be rooted in culture, identity, and collaboration across borders.
Speaking on the vision of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the musician highlighted the power of music, arts, and creative industries in shifting mindsets and making integration practical and relatable for ordinary Africans. According to him, creatives have a responsibility to help Africans see themselves as part of one shared market and one collective future.
Stonebwoy’s message aligned strongly with the core theme of the African Prosperity Dialogue moving Africa from potential to prosperity through action, ownership, and cooperation. His call for a borderless Africa symbolized the broader aim of transforming AfCFTA from policy documents into lived reality for young people, entrepreneurs, and artists across the continent.
