The Daily Graphic congratulates the newly elected and appointed members of the Council of State and reminds them that their mandate goes to the heart of the governance of the country. The Paper says members should not see their positions as an elevation to power but rather a call to serve the good people of Ghana. The Graphic appeals to the Council to be assiduous in its work and ensure that it does not become a rubber stamp for government decisions but an entity that will guide the President to make the right choice for the country. It urges members to come up with ideas that will enable the President win the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and lead the country onto the path of growth and sustainability.

The Ghanaian Times lauds Zoomlion Ghana Limited as it embarks on a “One Million-free Waste Bin” distribution project in five Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Accra. This follows efforts by government to resolve waste collection and disposal in the country with numerous interventions but the challenge keeps mounting. The Paper notes that, although waste management companies appear to be doing their best, the country continues to grapple with filth as a result of indiscriminate disposal of both solid and liquid waste. The Times also encourages all households to embrace the laudable project and register for the free waste bins to ensure a clean environment.
