The Daily Graphic says the outcome of the 8th democratic elections is indicative of the fact that the country needs to be united in all its endeavours. It is in this vein that the paper welcomes the agreement between both sides of parliament for consensus building to support government business. The Graphic believes that with a consultative and collaborative approach, Ghana  will deepen  its democratic governance systems and remain an icon, not only in Africa but the world. The paper is of the opinion that leaders should go beyond the rhetoric and put into practice the need for consensus building. It calls on the Executive, Legislature, the judiciary, the media and all stakeholders to set a new standard for improving Ghana’s democratic governance.
