Africa is poised for a record-breaking spree as Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and actress, Efya also known in private life as Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor has expressed interest to break the Guinness World record for the longest song.

 In a tweet on May 15, 2023, they expressed curiosity about the nitty gritty of the record. However, speaking in an entertainment review on Metro TV, the songstress confirmed she might give it a try.

” I have to train and just be ready because it is not something I can’t do”, Efya boastfully told the co-host when she was asked if she was ready for such an adventure.

She made this statement at the back of Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci who became a national sensation after cooking nonstop for 100 hours, in an attempt to set a world record.

Meanwhile, According to the Guinness World Records, the longest officially released song is 115 hr 45 min and was achieved by Mark Christopher Lee and The Pocket Gods (both UK) in St Albans, Hertfordshire, UK, on 1 December 2021.
