The holiday is over for newly-engaged couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, who have jetted back to Miami after enjoying a romantic getaway in the Bahamas.

Just a days after Alex, 43, popped the question to his girlfriend of two-years, the happy couple were seen arriving at Opa-locka airport in Florida on Tuesday and, understandably, they didn’t look exactly thrilled to be back to reality.

Jennifer, 49, and Alex looked a little ‘over it’ as they waited around for their luggage – let’s face it, how many of us are jumping for joy in airport queues? Painting a different picture, Jennifer looked pretty chirpy as she posed for photos before boarding their private jet hours before, and was filmed in front of a delicious spread of food ahead of their short flight back to the States.

The private jet had been decorated with ‘congratulations’ balloons and a welcome banner which said: ‘She said yes!’ while there was also a board on a table, which read: ‘He stepped up his game.’ No points for subtlety there.

As the couple arrived home, Jennifer’s World Of Dance co-star Ne-Yo revealed his excitement at the engagement news but said it was a long time coming as Jennifer and Alex acted like a married couple already.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ne-Yo said: ‘I’m super happy for her. She’s over the moon. She really is.

‘You can totally tell. I won’t say it’s the happiest she’s ever been – I don’t personally know – but it’s the happiest I’ve seen her since I’ve known her, so that being said, good job A-Rod!’ Ne-Yo, 40, also revealed that Alex is J-Lo’s ‘biggest fan’ and she lights up when he visits her on the World Of Dance set.
