Ghanaian Afrofusion singer and songwriter, McDonald Addotey Braide, also known as Kojo Blak, has discussed his artistic inspirations, citing Michael Jackson as a foundational role model for his career.
Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Blak emphasised that his admiration goes beyond musical appreciation, focusing on Jackson’s work ethic and commitment to his craft.
He stated that Jackson’s success was not just a result of innate talent, but also a consequence of the “dedication and energy” poured into every aspect of his artistry, a principle Blak strives to follow.
Kojo Blak highlighted Jackson’s devotion to his art and performances as guidance for contemporary artistes. He explained that he approaches each stage and studio session with a focus on delivering his best, in line with the standards he associates with Jackson.

While he did not name a single favorite song by Jackson, he expressed respect for the late singer’s commitment to performance and professional life.
