Ghanaian award-winning rapper Medikal paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, following his appointment as an ambassador for the National Youth Authority’s “Red Means Stop” anti-drug campaign.
The meeting highlighted efforts to strengthen collaboration between the creative industry and government in tackling substance abuse among young people in Ghana.
Discussions focused on how music, youth culture and digital platforms can be used to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote responsible lifestyle choices.
As an ambassador, Medikal will support the campaign through youth engagement activities, public awareness initiatives and media advocacy to encourage young people to make healthier life decisions.
The “Red Means Stop” campaign, led by the National Youth Authority and the Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment, aims to address the growing concern of substance abuse and protect the well-being of Ghana’s youth.
