Ghanaian Satirist and Media Personality, Mr. Carter, has stated that Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, will not be able to fill the O2 Arena for his Rapperholic concert next year.

According to Mr. Carter, there have been instances where other Ghanaian artists have struggled with ticket sales due to low patronage. He also cited Ghanaian artiste Fameye, who previously complained about the lack of attendance from Ghanaians in the diaspora at events.

“Sarkodie can’t fill the O2 Arena. I want to be honest with him. I’m daring him that even with the one-year period he’s used to advertise Rapperholic UK, he wouldn’t be able to fill the arena. Let’s not pretend people have not cancelled shows at the arena because of low patronage. We have had artists cancel their shows after almost eighteen months of advertising to market the tickets and still had to cancel due to low patronage. There is this recurring issue of Ghanaians in the diaspora who do not attend events; Fameye has complained about this before,” he noted on Hitz FM today, March 9.

This comes as Sarkodie announced plans to take on the O2 Arena in London for next year’s concert, a feat that would solidify his position as a global music icon. The Ghanaian rapper has announced his Rapperholic UK 2027 concert at the iconic venue, which has a capacity of 20,000, and tickets are expected to go on sale in Summer 2026.

Sarkodie has a track record of delivering high-energy performances and has collaborated with international artists like T-Pain, Ludacris, and Busta Rhymes. His annual Rapperholic concert series has been a staple in Ghana’s music calendar, and he brought this year’s Rapperholic UK concert, held on March 6, 2026, to the Royal Albert Hall in London.
