Travis Scott fans were left to guess the lyrics as he performed at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, with his swearing forcing CBS to mute much of the set.

The 27-year-old rapper joined Maroon 5 during their controversial halftime headline set in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, where he performed his number one single SICKOMODE.

But not before a SpongeBob SquarePants introduction, much to the delight of fans of the Nickelodeon cartoon who had petitioned for its inclusion.

Travis made quite a fiery arrival, bustling onto the stage via an exploding meteorite before launching into his hit single.

However, fans didn’t hear much of it with CBS, the network airing the Super Bowl, forced to mute parts of SICKOMODE due to the repeated expletives.

Needless to say, viewers weren’t best pleased with one reacting on Twitter: ‘Travis scott is out here swearing like this ain’t on CBS right now lol,’ while another joked: ‘Didn’t @KrisJenner tell @trvisXX there’s no swearing during the #superbowl?’

Rather ironically, another foul-mouthed viewer said: ‘Travis Scott doesn’t give a shit about not swearing on national TV lol,’ and another warned: ‘Travis Scott needs to stop swearing or CBS is gonna lose a lot of money lol.’
