China Town- The unofficial tag of Wassa Akropong

Areas known as “Chinatown” exist in many countries of the world, including Asia, Australia, the Americas, Europe and some parts of Africa. And here in Ghana, “China Town” is becoming synonymous with Wassa Akropong. Located in Ghana’s Western Region, the quest for gold has resulted in the influx of Chinese nationals to that town who are engaged in all kinds of business including trading in gold.
