The Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education, Professor Kwesi Yankah has challenged African Universities to deepen relations and create new ones to confront emerging challenges within academia and national affairs.
He cited lack of uniformity in educational systems, different grading systems and cross border mobility as some of the challenges that have hindered the growth of African Universities.
Professor Yankah said creating synergies among institutions hold a key to surmount emerging threats to academic space and national affairs.
He said this at the opening of African Universities Week in Accra.
