Some research organizations have called on government to re-align the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme with revenue generation to avoid building up huge public debt .

Imani Africa and Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability are reminding government that if a review is not done immediately, Ghana would be forced to institute an Educational Levy for Ghanaians to pay off the debt.

Speaking to GBC’S Radio Ghana, the Chairman of the Alliance for Equity and Public Accountability, Mensah Thompson said the success and continued implementation of the free SHS Policy must be based on Scientific Research.
