The 73rd Session of UN General Assembly (UNGA 73)

In September every year, global leaders and change-makers gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for two weeks, to discuss contemporary burning issues and set the global agenda for the year ahead. The 73rd Session of the UN has opened and its high-level segment, formally known as the ‘general debate’ began September 25, where every country’s leader, gets to address the world. In this piece GBC’s Rebecca Ekpe highlights some points to know about the General Assembly as the UN goes into high level discussions.
