The Minister for Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended the management and staff of BOSTEnergies formerly known as the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), for their renewed sense of purpose, strategic direction, and commitment to Ghana’s energy security.
The Minister made the remarks during a working visit to the company as part of his supervisory responsibilities.
Mr. Jinapor expressed satisfaction with the management’s dynamism and efficiency since assuming office, noting that the ongoing rebranding of BOSTEnergies reflects a stronger national commitment to ensuring sustainable fuel security.
“I was impressed by the renewed energy and strategic direction of the institution. I commend management for the dynamism and efficiency they have demonstrated since taking office,” he said.
He further lauded the company’s rebranding initiative, describing it as a symbol of deeper dedication to fuel security, a critical pillar for Ghana’s economy and national development.
The Energy Minister also highlighted the establishment of a Renewable Energy Department within BOSTEnergies as a major step forward, aligning with global best practices and President Mahama’s vision for a cleaner, sustainable energy future.
“I’m particularly encouraged by the creation of a Renewable Energy Department, which aligns with global best practices and supports the President’s vision for a cleaner energy future,” Mr. Jinapor added.
He emphasized the importance of continued infrastructure expansion, including additional depots, pipelines, and stronger distribution systems to meet rising national demand and bridge regional supply gaps.
Mr. Jinapor reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the energy sector, describing BOSTEnergies as central to Ghana’s long-term energy security architecture.
“BOSTEnergies remains central to Ghana’s energy security, and I look forward to seeing them lead with innovation and purpose. I remain fully committed to supporting the company technically, strategically, and at the policy level in line with President Mahama’s vision,” he affirmed.
