The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has promised that anyone found guilty in the case of the missing containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will be taken to court soon.

He gave this assurance during a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Energy and ECG officials.

The Minister said that while some of the missing containers have been found at the port, investigations are still going on to understand the full story.

“We are taking this matter very seriously. The recovery of some containers is a step forward, but our goal is to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice,” Hon. Jinapor said.

He added that a full report will be sent to the Attorney General so that legal action can begin against anyone involved.

The Minister said he is committed to making sure there is transparency and accountability in the handling of the case.
