Dope MC Foundation, a non-governmental Foundation focusing on the welfare of Persons with Disabilities, has donated items worth two thousand Ghana cedis with undisclosed cash to 11-year-old Anita Toabea who got one of her legs amputated after being involved in a vehicle collision.
The items include a hamper, bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, tins of tomato paste, sardines, and assorted drinks.
Anita Toabea who is a student at SDA Primary School at New Tafo in the Abuakwa North Municipality got one of her legs amputated when a vehicle run over her about four months ago. In an interview with a member of Dope Foundation and a Lecturer at the University of Ghana Distance School at Koforidua, Prince Asante described the situation of the young girl as unfortunate and disheartening and appealed to well-wishers to help Anita to realize her dreams in terms of education.

Uncle and the Caretaker of Anita Toabea, David Oduro showed her gratitude to Dope MC Foundation and appealed to Ghanaians, philanthropists and benevolent organizations to come to the aid of Anita.
The mother of young Anita Toabea, Olyvia Asare describing the incident that led to the amputation of one of Anita’s legs said, ’as they were selling kenkey at their usual joint by the road, a vehicle that lost its control run over the children.’, ………

Young Anita Toabea appealed to the government, philanthropists, well-wishers and benevolent organizations to come to her aid and help her to continue her education to enable her to actualize her dreams.
