The immediate past Chief Fire Officer Edwin Ekow Blankson is reported dead.
A statement signed by the Director of Public Relations, ACFO1 Timothy Osafo-Affum, said the sad incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, 27th July 2022 at the Korle- Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
The late Chief Fire Officer Blankson served in various capacities as the Regional Commander for the Volta, Eastern, Greater Accra and the Upper East Regions.
He was the Director of Technical Services, Rural Fires, ICT and Operations until his appointment as the Chief Fire Officer from September 2017 to October 2021.
