The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the license of NK Benark Enterprise, a licensed gold buyer, and ordered the closure of all its trading shops across the country.
The decision, announced on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, follows the company’s alleged involvement in multiple gold-related offenses.
According to GoldBod, the owner of the firm, Bernard Nkrumah, has been arrested and is currently facing prosecution before the High Court.
In a statement issued on Wednesday September 17, 2025, GoldBod has cautioned miners, traders, and the public to immediately stop engaging in any form of gold transactions with NK Benark Enterprise.
The Goldbod has stressed its commitment to enforcing laws in the gold trade sector, adding that its actions are guided by principles of accountability and transparency.
