Gov't debunks media reports on sacked 8 CEOs'

Government has debunked media reports that eight Chief Executives have been asked to proceed on leave on account of age.

The reports which came last Friday said the eight, (8) including CEO of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, Kofi Jumah, CEO of the Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC), and Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Anthony Nsiah-Asare, were said to have long passed the mandatory retirement age of 60.

But speaking at a News Conference in Accra, the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah asked the public to disregard those reports.
