The Ghana Union of Traders’ Association (GUTA), is expected to stage a street protest over the escalating cost of doing business in Ghana as they complained about the weakening of the Ghana Cedi compared to other currencies.

GUTA  has made a number of assertions about its stance and is expected to lay bare the issues at a press conference scheduled for Monday, August 22 in  Accra.

Besides GUTA, and the NDC Party, some individuals have been vociferous across media platforms, especially social media about the high cost of living in the country.
Meanwhile, the government has indicated that efforts are being pursued to normalise the situation.
