Indecent dressing among youth blamed on poor parenting

The Kumasi Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Right Reverend Stephen Kwaku Owusu, has expressed concern about the growing phenomenon of indecent dressing among the youth, pointing to poor parenting.

The Right Rev. Owusu, speaking at the 9th Triennial Delegates Conference of the Kumasi Methodist Diocese’s Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary, warned that such practice has negative consequences for the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The 9th Triennial Delegates Conference of the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary under the Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church, Ghana, was under the theme: “Discipleship-Living the Transformed Life in Jesus Christ”.

It brought together members of the Auxiliary to discuss the development of the Association and plan its way forward.

The event also witnessed the handing over ceremony of the old executives to the newly elected .

The Kumasi Diocesan President of the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary, Mrs. Joyce Amankwatia, commended her predecessors for their immense contribution to the growth and development of the Susanna Wesley Mission, “particularly in the areas of evangelism, health care, and provision of social needs of the vulnerable in society”.
 
The Kumasi Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana, the Right Rev. Stephen Kwaku Owusu, admonished Christians to have faith in the Lord by practising his deeds on earth.

He, however, expressed concern about the growing phenomenon of indecent dressing among the youth and called for action to curb the practice.

Highlight of the events was the cutting of the 9th triennial cake and presentations of citations to the outgoing Kumasi Diocesan President of the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary and others who have contributed immensely to the evangelism of the Association.
