The Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Ghana, His Excellency Assiélou Félix Tanon, has congratulated the Government and people of Ghana as the country marks its 69th Independence Anniversary.
In a message delivered on behalf of President Alassane Ouattara, he commended Ghana’s democratic achievements and reaffirmed the strong relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Today, 6 March 2026, Ghana celebrates the sixty-ninth (69th) anniversary of its accession to national sovereignty. It has indeed been a remarkable journey toward becoming a prosperous and stable nation, widely recognized within the sub-region and across the world as a model of democracy.
On this auspicious occasion, I am pleased to extend, on behalf of His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and in my own name, our warmest congratulations to the Government and the people of Ghana.
I also take this opportunity to express my satisfaction with the excellent relations of friendship and fraternity that exist between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
