President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Saturday, September 8, 2018, took part in a panel discussion on African Green Revolution Forum at Kigali.
He spoke about government’s intervention in the Agriculture sector with emphasis on the Planting for Food and Jobs programme.
President Akufo-Addo also spoke about plans by the Bank of Ghana to set-up a 500 million cedis fund to support farmers through loans to sustain their farming activities. He also called for a change in attitude towards agriculture.
President Akufo-Addo called on Africans to stop blaming the West for its woes.
President Akufo-Addo added that, government is working to have a sustaianable way of supplying fertilizers to farmers to improve their yield.
