The Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer DSP Godwin Ahianyo says three Police Officers of the Konongo Divisional Taskforce have been interdicted after allegedly assaulting and murdering a 36-year-old resident of Adomfeh, near Bompata in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, DSP Ahianyo said the incident happened when the Police Officers went on a swoop to arrest some people suspected to be engaged in the sale of illicit drugs.
He said the Ashanti Regional Police Command asked the three Officers to step aside for investigations into the incident.
