The Krowor Municipal Chief Executive, Engineer Paul Afotey Quaye has urged developers and property owner with the Krowor Municipality to liaise with the Physical Planning Department of the Assembly to initiate their permit acquisition processes before commencing any construction works.
He said it is illegal to commence any form of development first before obtaining a building permit.
At his maiden meeting with members of the Assembly’s Spacial Planning Committee, the Krowor MCE stressed that the Assembly is committed to supporting applicants through a transparent, efficient and timely procedure to ensure an orderly development in the Municipality.
The meeting also sort to review the building permit applications received by the Assembly so far.
Engineer Afotey Quaye suggested key reforms aimed at enhancing service delivery.
“Notably I advocate for a review of our building permit application and review regime to enable our applicants to secure their permits in significantly less than the 30 days mandated by law” he stated.
