Labour Expert, Austin Gamey, says series of labour agitations which has assumed national dimension has exposed Government’s vulnerability at resolving matters that are of social and economic importance to the ordinary worker.
He said the issue of strike should not be considered a breach of a Collective Agreement but a sensitive matter that must be handled differently by Government.
Mr Gamey is therefore urging government to adopt a much flexibly new approach to address labour concerns.
He disclosed this in an interview with GBC News.
Mr Gamey said it is important for Government to build consensus with the various Unions to help address labour unrest in the country.
