A Tema Magistrate Court Judge, Akosua Anokyewaa Agyapong, has for the second time ordered the Head of the Forensic Science Laboratory at the Police Hospital in Accra to appear before the Court.
He is also expected to explain why the medical report on the semen found on the late Josephine Asante, Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, as well as the finger and foot prints of the first and second accused persons have still not been submitted to the Court.
The order was necessitated by the inability of the Court Registrar to facilitate the process effectively.
Head of the Forensic Science Laboratory at the Police Hospital, who was informed on the 14th of this month to appear in Court yesterday (March 28), was absent.
The first accused person Christian Agyei, a houseboy of the deceased is still on remand.
Counsel for both accused persons are unhappy with the inability of the prosecutors to furnish them with statements of their clients.
Meanwhile Counsel for Amos Apreku, the second accused person, applied for his discharge but was refused by the Judge on the basis that the case is still under investigation and the results have still not been submitted.
The case has again been adjourned to the 8th of April.
