President Akufo-Addo promotes 5 DCOPs, 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police

President Akufo-Addo, on the recommendation of the Police Council, has promoted five Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCOP) to the rank of Commissioners and sixteen (16) Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) to the rank of Deputy Commissioners.
The new Commissioners are Samuel Monney, Director-General/Technical Department, Nana Asomah Hinneh, Director-General/Human Resource Department, Ebenezer Francis Doku, Director-General/Special Duties, Patrick Atampugre Akolgo, Director-General/National Protection Department and Edward Tabiri, Director-General/Police Intelligence Department.
The new Deputy Commissioners of Police Barima Tweneboah Sasraku, Deputy-Director General/CID, Kwadwo Antwi Tabi, Director Education, Wilfred Boahen Frimpong, Deputy Regional Commander, Bono, Edmund Ohene Bosompem, Commanding Officer, NPTS, Okyere Darko Asumadu, Deputy Regional Commander, Bono East,  Afful Boakye Yiadom, Deputy Regional Commander, Eastern, Iddi Lansah Seidu, Director, Marine, Ports and Harbour.
The rest are; Stephen Adane-Mensah, Deputy Director, Service Workshop, Anderson Fosu-Ackaah, Central MTTD Commander, Mohammed Fuseini Suraji, United Nations, Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba, Director of National Operations, David Senanu Eklu, Director-General Public Affairs Department, Joseph Gyamera Oklu, Director of Operations, CID, Charles Domanban, Deputy Regional Commander, Savannah, Victor Adusah-Poku, Administrator, Police Hospital, Habiba Twumasi-Sarpong, Deputy Regional Commander, Central.
The promotions take effect from 1st January 2020.
