Sachet water across Ghana will see a price increase from Monday, April 6, 2026, following a new directive by the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP).

In a statement issued on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the association said the adjustment is due to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs linked to the ongoing conflict in Iran.

According to NASPAWAP, the increasing cost of raw materials has made it difficult for producers to maintain the current prices of sachet water.

The association announced new recommended prices for a bag of 30 sachets of 500ml water. The ex-factory price is now set at GH¢8, while the ex-truck price is GH¢10. The maximum retail price has been fixed at GH¢15 per bag.

NASPAWAP is urging retailers and consumers to comply with the new pricing structure to ensure fairness in the market.

The association added that the price adjustment is necessary to sustain production and guarantee the continuous supply of safe drinking water to the public.
