The National Coordinator of Ghana’s School Feeding Programme, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, has been sacked.
In a letter signed by the Gender and Social Protection Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Mrs. Quashigah was directed to hand over to the Chief Director of the Gender Ministry.
No reason was however assigned for her removal.
Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah was officially named national coordinator of the programme in March 2020 after taking over from Dr. Kwame Adu-Nsiah who was also fired.
She served as an acting coordinator for about a year before her official appointment.
