The Dambai Police command has confirmed the death of three persons who were shot at a funeral at Pai Katanga, a community in the Oti Region.
The gun men were said to have shot six persons, leaving the other three in critical condition.
It is unclear what sparked the shooting which, reports say, occurred around 1 pm on Saturday.
Superintendent Samuel Aboagye of the Dambai Police Command, who confirmed the incident to journalists, however, assured that the situation was under control.
He said the Police in the region have deployed more personnel to the area to maintain law and order.
He also assured the public that the perpetrators of the heinous crime will be brought to book and appealed for cooperation from the public.
