Energy Expert, Kojo Poku, has hinted that the timetable for power outages which ends on Monday, May 17, may likely not be extended.

He was reacting to comments by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who was unsure whether the schedule will be extended or not.

Reacting to the figure put out by the Energy Minister as money saved by the country due to deferment of three power purchasing agreements, Mr Poku said the onus lies on the media to find out from the Ministry how they came by the figure.

“I don’t think the schedule would be extended because the engineers were very specific in which time frame that they wanted the work to be completed.”
