Today is World Radio Day, a day set aside to celebrate Radio, and remember its uniqueness in touching lives, and bringing people across the global divide, together.
It is in its power to project issues of national interest and stimulate dialogue, to find solutions to societal challenges.
Radio Stations worldwide, are encouraged by the UN, to continually provide a platform to help raise awareness among the people, on issues that affect humanity. This is expected to inspire understanding for new perspectives and cause positive action.
This year’s celebration focuses on “Radio and Diversity”.
