The UK government has pledged to support Ghana and the entire Sub-Saharan Africa to eradicate all forms of conflicts and terrorism threats.
The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Ian Walker, who made this statement, said security challenges such as transnational organised crimes, land disputes, chieftaincy disputes and large migratory populations still linger on in many West African states and these need urgent attention and support from the international community.
He said such security issues impact negatively on relations between the UK and the West Africa-Sub Region.
Mr. Walker was speaking at the opening ceremony of a training on Managing Defence in the Wider Security Context at the Kofi Annan International Peace keeping Training Centre.
