Chokosis have expressed readiness to build on efforts to ensuring peace in the area.

Spokesperson for the group, Dr. Solomon Gumanga said the feuding factions’ interactions with the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed, was successful and has motivated them to work harder for peace.

He however cautioned some extremists who still want to sabotage peace efforts to desist from that or face the full force of the military.

The President of the Youth Association of the Konkombas and the Anufors, Charles Inogya urged the two ethnic groups to come together rather than using arms against one another.
