Reports from Mamponteng in Kwabre East Ashanti say, a violent clash between some youth of the town has resulted in serious injuries.
However, no arrest has been made. The District Chief Executive, Opoku Agyemang who confirmed the incident to GBC News said the District Security Council, DISEC, has been having a series of meetings to address the problem which he described as ritual.
He said the clash usually occurs during festive occasions, especially between the two groups, over a drinking spot where the groups usually meet to entertain themselves.
Mr. Opoku Agyemang said he is yet to confirm the number of injuries recorded as the injured continue to visit hospitals for treatment.
