Acting Director, Regulatory Inspectorate and Compliance at the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Kwame Kodua Atuahene has hinted of placing cameras on vantage points on the various Highways.

This follows the gross disregard for road regulation by drivers.

According to Mr. Atuahene, very soon there will be no or less Policemen on the road to check drivers who flout the regulations.

He added that people would be served fine tickets in their offices and homes.

Reacting to why the MTTD and the NRSA are not doing enough, Mr. Atuahene said there is a lack of personnel and so strategic deployment of personnel is usually adopted.

Mr. Atuahene made this known during a road safety sensitization at Kasoa.

Touching on what Ghanaians termed as rickety vehicles, Mr. Atuahene said there is going to be a thorough check of quality and maintenance of vehicles on the roads 2022.
