The fight against cybercrime, especially Mobile Money fraud has seen a significant headway, following the detection of about 20,000 dubious Mobile Money merchants. These suspected criminals were detected after using illegal means to rake in unearned Commission.
This came up at a ceremony to recognize and reward MoMo Agents and Merchants In Kumasi.
Chief Executive Officer of MTN Mobile Money, Eli Hini who spoke of progress being made to eliminate Mobile Money fraud, stated that the exercise would persist until the system is entirely cleaned of fraudulent activities.
