The Project Manager for the Adentan–Dodowa Road Project, Mr. Gabriel Foli, has revealed that the overall progress of work done now stands at 60%.
According to him, 90% of the major drainage structures have been completed, with most of the technically demanding aspects of the project already done.
Providing an update on progress in an interview on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Mr. Foli explained that in road construction, the most difficult phase is the earthworks. Once that stage is completed, the rest of the work becomes easier.
“We are almost done with the earthworks here. We are out of the ground, so what is left is the pavement works, and I can assure you that by the close of this year, we should be able to finish this project,” he added.
The project manager maintained that all structures encroaching on the project’s right-of-way have been removed, with affected individuals duly compensated.
He explained that sections of the right-of-way at Amrahia affected a cemetery, making it necessary for traditional authorities to oversee the exhumation and reburial of bodies before work could continue.
According to him, the project is currently about 60% complete and has now been placed under the government’s flagship Big Push initiative, which will ensure its timely completion.
He noted that the completion of the road will significantly ease traffic congestion and improve the commuting experience for residents and road users.
