The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged the youth to embrace integrity, unity, and innovation as they prepare to take up leadership roles in Ghana’s future.

Speaking at the Youth Common Forum held at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Afenyo-Markin emphasised that innovation alone is not enough if the environment is not conducive to progress. He therefore called for collective efforts to build systems that encourage creativity, productivity, and national development.

He further advised students to reject corruption and resist divisive tendencies whenever they encounter them, stressing that these vices threaten the nation’s growth and stability.

“All we have is our country Ghana, and the better days of our country are ahead of us,” the Minority Leader told the enthusiastic gathering, charging the youth to stay committed to nation-building.

The Youth Common Forum at UEW brought together students, policymakers, and thought leaders to deliberate on the role of young people in shaping Ghana’s development agenda.
