The Head and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has commended the leadership style of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, describing it as one destined for greater national responsibility.

Speaking during a courtesy call on the Minister in Accra on Wednesday, the Islamic cleric highlighted what he described as a rare combination of humility, accessibility and dedication in Mr Iddrisu’s approach to public service.

According to him, the Minister’s ability to connect with ordinary citizens continues to strengthen public confidence and trust in leadership.

“His engagement with the ordinary Ghanaian reflects a leadership style that resonates deeply with the people and reinforces confidence in his role,” Maulvi Bin Salih said.

He further described Mr Iddrisu as part of a new generation of “energetic and patriotic” leaders capable of blending experience with youthful innovation to drive national development.

The visit by the Ahmadiyya delegation also served to commiserate with the Minister following a recent road accident he was involved in while travelling to Wa for official duties.

Mr Iddrisu had been invited as a special guest to the graduation ceremony of the Nusra Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education.

Recounting the incident, Maulvi Bin Salih praised the Minister’s dedication, noting that his commitment—even in the face of adversity—has earned him widespread admiration.

“The Minister has demonstrated a spirit of sacrifice that is truly inspiring. To proceed with his duties after such a traumatic event speaks volumes about his character and dedication to the people of Ghana,” he said.

The Ahmadiyya leader expressed confidence that Mr Iddrisu’s commitment to national service points to his readiness for greater responsibility in the future.

“I am convinced that this young man has a lot of good in him for Ghana. As the years go by, the results of this dedication will be evident for all to see,” he added.

He also urged Ghanaian youth to draw inspiration from the Minister’s resilience, discipline and commitment to service, encouraging them to invest in personal growth and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Responding to the delegation, Mr Iddrisu expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life and that of his convoy. He also thanked the leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission and Ghanaians for their support during the period.

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding educational infrastructure to improve access for communities across the country and to strengthen the sector for future generations.
