Another Takoradi fake kidnapping suspect pleads guilty, faces sentencing Tuesday

The lead suspect in the latest fake kidnapping case in Takoradi in the Western once again, Joana Krah has pleaded guilty on two counts of deceiving a public officer and publication of false news.

The suspect pleaded guilty when she appeared before a Takoradi Habour Circuit Court Presided over by his honor Michael Ampadu. The Prosecutor, Police Sergent Robert Amonoo Yawson told the court during proceedings that the other two suspects Susana Awortwe and Francis Eshun had been granted bail following a confession from the lead suspect that they were involved in the issue.

The judge has deferred her sentencing for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26, 2021. According to our Western Regional Correspondent, Marie Aziz Tunde the suspect has since been sent to the Takoradi Central Police Station whiles her two accomplices have also been granted a police enquiry bail.
