National Overseer Apostolic Faith Ghana, Rev. John Bekoe, has encouraged Christians to use their lives on earth to prepare themselves for the afterlife. He noted that although life on earth may be challenging, it is crucial for the children of God to remain steadfast in their calling. Rev. Bekoe was speaking at a musical concert dubbed “God’s marvelous works” by the church in Accra.
“It’s a programme which brings all Apostolic Faith churches in Ghana for a Camp meeting at our Aplaku church, our headquarters. Normally, we have wonderful teachings. The teachings are to strengthen us, encourage us, and sharpen us. So that we walk along this narrow pathway successfully to the end when we meet our saviour face-to-face.”
Rev. John Bekoe said music is an integral part of the church’s programmes as it is one of the ways to strengthen the faith of Christians. He called on all to join the church for the annual programme to renew their faith in God.

“In Apostolic Faith we want to make heaven our home. Our desire is all members of Apostolic Faith make it to heaven and it is through such wonderful programme and teachings that we are prepared because we see our time here on earth as a preparation to heaven. So we want to invite you join us every time.”
The musical concert saw performances from the church’s choir and orchestra including those from Togo, Benin and Nigeria. The event forms part of the church’s annual two-week Camp meeting. Patrons were treated to classic renditions of music that were uplifting to the soul.
The National Music Director, William Addy in an interview with GBCGHANAONLINE, expressed appreciation to patrons for the massive turnout.
The 2020 Running Mate of the NDC, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, who was a special guest at the event, said music responds to the varied needs of men. She was grateful to the organisers for putting together the programme.
“Normally, when you go for events like this and everything seems to be working well, sometimes we forget one thing, and that is the efforts that have gone into it. I believe there were agreements and disagreements because we are human, and yet coming together nonetheless, practicing again and again, and I want to thank you for all.”
Some patrons shared their excitement with the news team.
Isaac Narh:
“The concert was one with a difference. It’s an annual programme, and this year’s has been one that has inspired me, looking at the songs sung and the collaboration between the choir and orchestra. And the soul-inspiring song has really touched me, and I wish this would happen next year.”
Yomi Akinbowale:
“We were thirteen that came from Nigeria purposely for the concert, and we thank God for giving us the privilege to join our colleagues here in Ghana. We actually enjoyed ourselves, and they took us as one of them because, in the Lord, we are brothers and sisters.”
Director of Surveys, Lands Commission, Naa Abukari Abudulai Tibung Lana, said the oneness exhibited by choirs and orchestras in delivering melodious tunes must be exemplary to politicians to believe in unity and diversity to promote peace at all times.
The two-week camp meeting climaxed on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
